Hi all, Sorry about being away for a while. Question, did Thirds EVER travel down to Barrow and play them in a friendly?. I have a Fiver on this saying they never did, Cant find anything about it but friend in Barrow says he was there at Holker Street. HELP.............

On Thursday 28th April, 1949, Thirds played Barrow FC at Barrow. The scorelimne was excellent Barrow 3 - Thirds 5.
It was a benefit match for the club.
I have the match Programme, for this game.
That end of season saw Thirds play at Barrow, then 2 days later draw with Everton 2- 2
at Goddison Park, then 2 days later again Celtic knocked out Thirds in the Glasgow Charity
Cup s/f at Hampden, before Rangers beat Celtic 2/0 in the Final. That was typical of the
end of season situation at that time. To the best of my knowledge the following side played in all three games - Fraser, Balunas, Harrower, Mooney, Christie, Thom. Bogan, Orr, Scott, Henderson, & Staroscik.
