Information on 3rd Lanark 1921 canadian tour medal

Hello I am doing a little research for a friend of mine who has been in possession of a 1921 tour of Canada medal (which we believe was the medal given to all the players who took part in the North American tour) he has had it in the family for many years and wants to know more about it. I have managed to find out some history behind the tour and The Hi Hi20130924_202608.jpg players among others who took part. But if anyone can come up with any information on the medal in particular it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I too have a medal from the 1921 tour of Canada and like you have no information regarding its history. I do know that my mother's aunt was married to a Scot who had dual nationality in the USA and who represented the USA at football. His name was Sam MacDonald and I believe he originated from the Vale of Leven. He was a serving member in the USA army and I believe he passed away in the late 1930's. Now whether he was the recipient of the medal or not I cannot say but any information you could give me about the tour would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Don McIntyre
