Hi,

Johnny Connor signed for Thirds from Airdrie in the mid thirties, and proved to be a prolific "old fashioned" centre forward.  He was at Cathkin for a couple of Seasons, when he topped the charts as leading scorer on both occasions.

I do not have specific dates etc, but I  hope we are speaking of the same player, who was idolised.   He was small of stature but built like a tank - not to be messed about.  I  certainly have fond memories of Johnny CONNOR>

Like so many players of that era -at the outbreak of WW2, his career was cut relatively short with Military Service.

Bert Bell.
