Hi. Most football folks will have recently read about a most worthy attempt to have Third Lanark legend Ally, installed in the SFA Hall of fame.

No Thirds' fan will ever forget his massive contribution to the Hi Hi cause, from his debut on 6th November, 1949 against Stirling Albion at Cathkin, through the next 7 campaigns, the then gangly youth with the unorthodox style, had fans applauding virtually every 90 minutes.with his enthusiasm, dedication & undoubted talents there for all to see.
Ally returned to Cathkin Park, for a further year in 1963, before moving into the field of management.
