Ally Macleod.

Hi.
Most football folks will have recently read about a most worthy attempt to have
Third Lanark legend Ally, installed in the SFA Hall of fame.

His 45 years plus of football involvement, found Ally serving a few Clubs north & South of the border, in addition to his managerial roles in the game.

No Thirds' fan will ever forget his massive contribution to the Hi Hi cause, from his debut on 6th November, 1949 against Stirling  Albion at Cathkin, through the next 7 campaigns, the then gangly youth with the unorthodox style, had fans applauding virtually every 90 minutes.with his enthusiasm, dedication & undoubted talents there for all to see.

Ally returned  to Cathkin Park, for a further year in 1963, before moving into the field of management.

Do take the time to write to the SFA Hall of Fame, in support of this claim for recognition, and for further information  visit the undernoted web site, and click on their search engine to bring up additional details of Ally's tremendous service to Scottish Football -    Surely this  former player, ticks all the required boxes for your support.

I look forward to a positive outcome.

Bert Bell.
