There was a radio programme the other night about the Rex Kingsley organisation for blind football supporters. This is where commentary is provided at football games for blind people and the commentary was first provided I believe by Reg Kingsley.
The programme mentioned that it was with Third Lanark that it all began in 1937, where Cathkin originally had the commentators for its blind supporters.
Also had David Franchie mention in the program briefly that hsi first ever game to commentate was St Mirren v Third Lanark. Also in his book it states Archie Mcphersons first ever game as a Sports Journalist was Third Lanark v Hibernian. More reminders of how important the HiHi was to the game
