I must apologise for not letting everyone know that the Scotsman Piece on Wattie was scheduled.
I was contacted by Alan Patulla out of the blue and asked for a biopic of Wattie, which I was obviously very delighted to give him.
Following this publication I dropped Wattie & his family a wee letter, and took the liberty of sending the good wishes of all former Thirds fans to himself - a Cathkin legend -
I don't know about you, but I often, even allowing for the dramatic changes in the game today, wonder " what price tag " would be on the heads of such devoted, super talented players , like Wattie Dick. Of course we must talk £millions, if we think about the Warriors famous five of the early sixties. Jimmy, Dave, Alex, Matt, & wee Joe. Anyone care to put a figure on them, not forgetting Wee Jocky, Jimmy Mason, Harry Mooney, and many many others.
Nice to hear from you Panda & Bigeye. Keep the memories flowing.
