Just a quick update. the First XI won the Greater Glasgow Premier League title in their first season in the top division and a hearty congratulations goes out to coaches Willie Milligan,Duncy MacIntyre & Billy Campbell. This was thoroughly deserved as this team play great passing football in what can be a physical league. The Second XI had a tough first season but have been promoted to Division 2A of The Sunday Central AFL. 3 players from this team made their first team debuts as well and it is a testament to the way they have played, trained and committed to 3rds this season. The Under 16s move up now to the Under 17s in the GADFYL League and are the future lifeblood of the club. The Official Supporters Club is now established and run by Matt Curry & Pat McGeady and already hosted a successful first fundraising night at the famous Wellcroft Bowling Club, with regular events planned for 2012. We have the now annual Volunteers Cup match coming up with our Edinburgh cousins, St Bernards in August 2012. Details to follow! On a personal front,I would just like to thank all of our fans and the Scottish Football Press, as well as our Official sponsors for their continued support of the rebirth of this great footballing institution. Here's looking forward to the new season...one step closer to a return to professional football once again being played at Cathkin Park...
