There always seems to be some guests on the forum and it would be really nice if some of you out there dropped in and posted. The forum is in need of some 'chat' and if you are on this site then then you must have some interest in the old Hi Hi it's probably more than you think!
HEAR,HEAR Bigeye! I for one keep checking back, I posted a couple of things, but not much response! I think maybe I go back a bit TOO far for most people. (1946 -52)
Panda any era is a great era to watch the Hi Hi and you would have seen the great Jimmy Mason a player i would have dearly loved to see in action and of course Ally Mcleod at his peak. I did see Ally when he came back to Cathkin but i have to say his best days were behind him but still an honour anyway.
One guy i take great pleasure in telling people (well anyone who'll listen!!) i saw playing was Bobby Evans. A truly great player in his day but again as player manager he only played when necessary and as with Ally was in the twilight of his playing career.
I come from The Netherlands and I am the guy who submitted Cathkin Park photographs to Duncan Adams' Football Ground Guide in the Scottish Old Grounds Section.
What has been puzzling me is the origins of the Hihi's nickname. Anyone please?
