Third Lanark play Giffnock North in the postponed cup game this saturday at Cathkin Park, kick off at 2pm. Giffnock North are high flying in the top division of the Glasgow Amateur league so Thirds face a very difficult tie.
Last night I saw a fantastic game between Third Lanark and St Marys in a friendly. St Marys were top of the saturday morning leagues so it was always going to be a tough game. Third Lanark won 4-1. If it was not for some fantastic displays by both sets of goalkeepers the final score could have been Third Lanark 14 - St Marys 9. It was an absolute belter of a game! Third Lanark goalkeeper Tony earning deserved plaudits! Our 100% record for 2008 is still maintained. Again this is further evidence of hwo far the new Third Lanark team have progressed and is testimony to all the hard work by the players and staff
