Charlie Cullen...anybody any info?

Bumped into a guy I played fitba wi and mentioned about Thirds, he has been trying to get more info on his late dad Charlie Cullen..who he says played for Thirds in the mid 60's. Does anyone have any info or memories of this player?

Thanks!!

Hi,

Charlie  Cullen signed for Thirds from Celtic, early season 1964/65.  At this point Cathkin introduced the " revolving door syndrome", with players coming and going, on a daily basis.

Cullen played seven games for Thirds, scoring five goals in the process. - then
he was transferred -  I have no idea where he  continued his career.

Hope this helps.

Bert Bell.

I think the Charlie Cullen example helps shows the absolute chaos and disgrace of the Hiddelston reign at the club. A footballer scores 5 goals in 7 games and is then promptly let go. A terrible waste, I bet their was no shortage of other clubs ready to snap him up when Hiddelston released him.
