It's quiet

Just for the sake of posting i was reading Neil Oliver's (he being the long haired guy in 'Two Men in a Trench' and 'Coast to Coast') book 'Not Forgotten' and he mentioned that his Grandfather was a '3rd Lanark supporter.'
That's it just thought it was nice to see the old Hi Hi's name in print blankstare phew wish i could think of something decent to post hmm

Yeah, and depending on where you are bigeye, you can get down to Cathkin on a Saturday and support the new team remembering to wear your red and white colours, of course. Then you can post something on your thoughts about the game, the banter of the fans, the industrial language used by Pete D. to signify a change to the cattanacio system, or simply contemplate, meander and ruminate philosophically on the meaning of life and the merits of the 4-5-1 system. A great time can be had by all at Cathkin, you know!

Neil yup i know i should be meandering down Cathkin way more often but at the moment i'm licking my wounds after getting put out the 'Scottish' by Montrose on Saturday and now the prospect of heading north to Ellon for the 'other' Scottish Cup game looms.
It's a long trek up there whereas Hi Hi ville is only down the road.
I will be heading to some games over the winter as with Cathkin having the best turf in Scotland it's bound to be on wink
Good luck to the lads on Saturday...i might be there!!!

Aha! A Pollok Juniors man. Well they do say most Pollok fans are former HiHi supporters so I suppose that's par for the course. Maybe you can put the word around at Newlandsfield, bigeye, of the work we're doing to ressurect the club here at Cathkin. Would be great if some bods from Pollok started to get interested in the old HiHi again and supported our efforts in any way. Keep your ear to the mill 'cos we've got lots of ideas to advance the club and we'll need peoples support along the way whether thats helping put up the nets, training the players, providing sponsorship or simply just turning up to cheer on the team on a Saturday. It would be a fine day if we could reach the level Pollok are currently at. A long term process, but hopefully one day.
Think you should go to Ellon on Saturday 'cos there's no Thirds home game and you'ld, therefore, be on your ownyo! Keep an ear out for news of the next home game at Cathkin and if it doesn't clash with a Pollok fixture c'mon down and see us and say hihi. We'll be the ones in the Thirds strips blowing up red and white balloons with a wee dug ( the now legendary syd ) running around our plates of meet decked out in his favourite scarlet colours. Look forward to seeing you and, remember, dont be a stranger!
